Hotlink introduces new product named Hotlink Youth Plan Pack

The naming of this new product was so similar with Hotlink Youth Club previously. But,please don't get confused.Hotlink Youth Club which lifetime validity was 4 years and just opened to youths below 24 years old.

Hotlink Youth Plan Pack selling price at RM8.80 only. It's comes with one RM6 physical Hot Ticket inside the simpack that giving 20 minutes calls to any local networks and 300 sms.For the subsequent month after activation, there's seven more RM6 Hot Ticket will be automatically credited into your account every 21st for 7 months. Please take note there's FREE 100MB in 1 hour data attached with the first Hot Ticket only.

That means you will get 160 minutes calls to any local networks,2400 sms and 100MB data usage for just RM8.80.Here's extra information for the new Hotlink Youth Plan Pack...

Finally,i think that Hotlink was launched too much of Hot Tickets in this market.Form my survey, there's more than 10 type of Hot Tickets selling currently. It's too confusing consumer mind with those promotions and in the end can't even remembered for all the features of Hot Tickets.Perhaps, customer rather switched to other mobile operator in single plan and promotion that won't confused them when out of credit :)

Nokia Ovi Store still the most popular Apps Store in China

Nokia doesn't get that much coverage of its app platform - the Ovi Store - in the media, but in 2010 Nokia's app store was far and away the leader in China: it was accessed by 65.2% of Chinese mobile subscribers, towering over Apple's and Google's more fancied offerings.

China's second most used app store was China Mobile's "Mmarket", accessed by 57.7% of the country's mobile users (note the cross-over: some users are using multiple app sources) in 2010. Google's official Market for Android phone was a distant third, with 13.7%; Microsoft's legacy MarketPlace was fourth; Apple's iconic App Store was fifth.

These stats (see the full graph, below) come from iReport, a China-focused "customer behavior" and markets firm of analysts - in a year-ending report on mobile app usage in China in 2010. They're a useful reminder that - and this is my analysis now - Chinese consumers engage with their mobiles, and the mobile internet, quite differently than in the US, with more of an emphasis here on text-messaging, using pre-installed apps and games, instant-messaging (eg: QQ), and mobile internet - but that's mostly via GPRS, with 3G only adopted by a minority.

While it's good news for Nokia and its Ovi Store, it does also portend the difficulties ahead, if consumers start to move away from lower-end smartphones (the ones that are more like "feature-phones" that can just about support some apps).

And while Android's share looks tiny, with the Google Market in a far-off 3rd-place, actually you could add a great deal of the (China Unicom) WoStore and (Motorola) MotoPlus store percentages to that, since most of their app sales are actually of Android apps... But that's closer to the theme of my next planned post. 'Til then: well done, Nokia.

The winner for the 10 billionth apps downloaded has been announced

Apple's countdown to 10 billion downloads in its App Store hit its long-awaited milestone this weekend.

The lucky customer, who gets $10,000 worth of virtual cash for the download, responded to the news by hanging up the phone on Apple when the company called to congratulate her.

"I thought it was a prank call," Gail Davis of Orpington, Kent, UK, told Apple fan site Cult of Mac. "I said, 'Thank you very much, I'm not interested' and I hung up."

Turns out, one of Davis's daughters had downloaded the winning app -- "Paper Glider," a game that simulates building paper airplanes and flinging them around an office.

Apple announced the milestone on Saturday.

"With more than 10 billion apps downloaded in just two and a half years -- a staggering seven billion apps in the last year alone -- the App Store has surpassed our wildest dreams," said Apple marketing vice president Philip Schiller. "The App Store has revolutionized how software is created, distributed, discovered and sold."

After talking to her daughters, Davis said she realized the call, from iTunes vice president Eddy Cue, was for real. She tried calling Apple back, to no avail, but got a call from one of Cue's colleagues a couple of hours later.

"The girls were getting quite tense," she told Cult of Mac. "They never would have forgiven me. They would have held it against me for all eternity.

"If it had been Steve Jobs [calling] I definitely would have thought it was a wind up."

Davis told Cult of Mac her girls download apps for their iPod Touches. She and her husband have iPod Nanos, she said, but not models that run apps. She said that might change soon.

Don't worry for current subscribers of Ovi Music Unlimited

Nokia’s Comes With Music (CWM) service – more recently known as Ovi Music Unlimited – has proved to be one of Nokia’s most popular services, but it’s set to make way for something new. Thankfully, all of your Ovi Music Unlimited songs are safe – join us after the break to find out more…

Nokia’s Comes With Music service has been around for a couple of years now, providing hundreds of thousands of free songs to Nokia users with Comes With Music handsets. The service was latterly known as Ovi Music Unlimited, but still offered similar features.

Although Nokia has stopped selling Ovi Music Unlimited handsets, if you’ve recently bought a Nokia smartphone with a subscription you’ll still be able to download free music for the rest of the agreed period. If you’re one of the many happy customers to have benefited from a Comes With Music or Ovi Music Unlimited handset, then don’t worry about upcoming changes.

Once you’ve downloaded the songs, they’re yours forever. Despite the end of the service, the songs you’ve downloaded through Comes With Music will still be available to play on your Nokia, and you’ll also be able to play them back on your PC as well.

Once your subscription is up, you’ll also be able to continue buying music from the Ovi Music Store – with DRM-free tracks on offer that let you play them back on any device.

Here's a video about the changes to Ovi Music Unlimited..

White iPhone 4 could finally be arrived in Feb...**Yawn**

Apple's long-delayed white iPhone 4 could be on sale on 27 February in the US, judging by a screenshot published on MacRumors. The image appears to show the device's listing in retailer Best Buy's inventory database.

Bully for the Americans, eh? But wait! Separately, Engadget turned up its own screenshot of Vodafone Germany's inventory system, which lists 16GB and 32GB models of the white iPhone 4, although without a specific release date.

The clear indication is that an on-sale date for the device is imminent. It's taken a long time coming, too. The white and black iPhone 4s were unveiled together in June last year, with white models available for journalists to play with in the media zone following chief executive Steve Jobs' WWDC keynote speech.

But, in July, Apple announced a delay for the white iPhone 4, due to the device being "more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected". At the time, Apple promised a release before the end of 2010.
Then, in October, more reports suggested that the white model would be delayed until this year. They turned out to be correct, with no sign of the device before Christmas.

By November, a lucrative black market (or should that be white market?) was emerging in kits to turn black iPhone 4s into white ones. One teenage New Yorker was even threatened with jail for selling such conversion kits.
Now it seems the real deal could finally be making its way onto shelves, although we're wary of cracking the piggybank open based purely on these screenshots.

With speculation continuing to swirl about an iPad 2 announcement in February, that event would be the ideal opportunity to confirm the status of the white iPhone 4.
